After taking several months off, the Goo Goo Dolls will return to the road starting next month for a brief, low-key tour of state fairs and festivals, beginning on August 28 at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo.
The Goo Goo Dolls have tapped their good friends in Tonic to open the seven-date outing; the two bands previously hooked up for an MP3.com-sponsored tour last October and November (see "Goo Goo Dolls Team With Tonic For MP3.com; Will Sing For Jerry's Kids").

Prior to its run with the Goo Goo Dolls, Tonic plans to head out for its own headlining tour to support its most recent LP, "Sugar." Since that album's release in November, Tonic has spent much of the time on supporting stints for the likes of the Goo Goo Dolls and Third Eye Blind.
