It’s just after 1 PM on a Thursday afternoon in November and my phone rings. Goo Goo Dolls co-founder and bassist Robby Takac is calling me from the West Coast where it’s 10 AM. When I answer I’m greeted warmly by a familiar, friendly voice. “Olivia, it’s Robby,” he announces in his distinctively raspy voice, sounding rarely relaxed as he asks how I’m doing.
